Denver Public Libraries: Hadley
The Hadley Branch Library is located in the beautiful community of Ruby Hill in a charming brick building with a cozy interior. The library hosts a variety of family-friendly events throughout the year and is regarded fondly by members of the surrounding community.
We were excited when Denver Public Libraries invited us to be part of the renovation for the Hadley Branch because we feel personally connected to the Ruby Hill neighborhood. We had worked there once before for a project with Winter Park, so we were enthusiastic about returning to work on the library.
We created several custom pieces for the library, including service points, book displays, and shelving units. In addition to these items, we also designed some fun end panels for the shelving units. Each end panel had a different theme and was embellished with icons pertaining to that subject. One panel was sports themed, another was music themed, and another was decorated with transportation icons. We did this to make the library fun and interesting for the kids in the neighborhood, so that would feel like a part of it and would want to spend time there.
Working with the staff at the Hadley Branch was a truly joyful and rewarding experience. We are excited to see their library continue to grow and make an impact in the community.
