Belmar Library
The Supple Collection had the honor of collaborating with design firm HDR on an extensive renovation for the Belmar Library. Our work was based off of Rebecca McFarland’s vision, which called for a modern, sophisticated interior adorned with elegant furnishings. All items were handcrafted and custom-made using sustainable, earth friendly materials.
A set of custom wooden benches were designed and built for the front entrance. These served as a focal point for the entryway and added a touch of contemporary artistic flare. An accessible design featured raised arms on each side for ease of use. Using out-of-the-box thinking, we were able to produce a perfect match for the wood finish, allowing for a seamless integration with the library’s existing wooden features.
Next, our Folds computer stations were installed sporadically throughout the interior. These convenient personal access computer stations provided patrons with quick access to the internet and library catalogs. Computer monitors were mounted to eleven different end panels. Then, folding shelves were attached to provide space for a mouse, keyboard, and computer storage.
We hope that these additions will bring joy to future visitors and provide ample opportunities for learning. It is always a pleasure to be able to come back and work for past customers on a new project. And we thoroughly enjoy working with designs produced by other visionaries who are passionate about libraries and learning.
